Since I am a 7-year retiree from my lifelong career as a public relations specialist. I had the life experience of downsizing and moving 3 times in my almost 20 years in Asheville. You could say it was a trial by fire method of learning the best practices associated not only with buying and selling real estate, but juggling a post-retirement lifestyle with the challenge of getting older. When I became a realtor during the pandemic at the age of 70, I knew right way I wanted to obtain my SRES ® (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation. I had so much ‘real-life’ experience to share!
The Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation is for realtors who want to be able to meet the special needs of maturing Americans (a nice way to put it- we’re old folks!) when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. By earning the SRES® designation, realtors are prepared to approach mature clients with the best options and information for them to make life-changing decisions. So, there you go!
